About the Venue
Peacefully located within 660 hectares of immaculate Mpumalanga maize-fields, is the intimate and real farm stile venue – Erdzak Country Venue. The original Erdzak farm is owned by the Van der Linde family for 50 years. Country hospitality will be all you experience, throughout the event.
Erdzak is the perfect setting to create memories that will last a lifetime. We have created a one-stop venue with a fairy-tale forest, a chapel, and a venue-hall. The environment-friendly, upmarket, farm stile venue has 3 separate venues to choose from.
The Bloekombos, is situated next to a beautiful dam, in the mists of Poppelier, Bloekom and Honylocus trees, and a natural spring fountain runs through the woods, where tranquillity and silence are in the order of the day. You only here the fish eagle and Hadida’s in the late afternoon. This natural venue can host up to 200 people. The Bloekombos is equipped with electricity and toilet facilities. The bride should do all other décor. Only organic confetti should be used.
The barn is built from clay bricks in a quite modern stile, surrounded by one hundred rose busses. It hosts up to 400 people seated by round or square tables, and up to 500 people, theatre stile. The barn is equipped with fully equipped kitchen and spectacular toilet facilities.
There is also the open air porch just outside the barn, where you can hosts church ceremonies, and if you would like to, get married or serve cocktails and snacks in the most beautiful groomed garden just outside the barn in the open air or under a stretched tent, Hannelie Blaauw; wedding coordinator will be there to assist you.
Erdzak Country Venue is situated just outside Standerton, Mpumalanga, South Africa, on the Vrede road, 5 kilometres from Meyerville, Standerton town. Guests are surrounded by breath-taking scenery and share their surroundings with tamed horses, a herd of friendly sheep and an abundance of flora.
Only 1 and a half hours drive from Johannesburg and 2 hours from Pretoria. 50km from Vrede, 80 km from Ermelo, 60 km Morgenson, 90 km from Volksrus and 60km from Secunda.
We accommodate bookings for Weddings, Birthday parties, Corporate functions, Launches, Anniversaries, Festivals, Kitchen teas, Reunions, the opportunities are ENDLESS. Bookings for small, intimate, or very large groups up to 500 guests.
